Julie Hatch brings over 20 years of experience in the social work field to Willow Creek Counseling. Julie is a Rockford native. She is married and has three children. Julie is a graduate of Illinois State University and received a Master’s degree from Aurora University and an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration from National Louis University. Julie’s social work career has focused on working with children and adolescents. She began her career as a child and adolescent crisis counselor. Julie then became a juvenile probation officer, but has spent over eighteen years in the school setting. As a school social worker, Julie has an extensive amount of experience working with children with emotional and behavioral concerns. She has a lot of knowledge facilitating counseling groups, addressing child and adolescent behaviors individually and with families. Julie also understands school related issues. Julie enjoys walking or running on all the beautiful bike paths in the area, playing Bingo and going out to eat. Julie is excited to be part of Willow Creek Counseling. She understands the difficulties parents and youth go through at home and school. Julie will provide guidance and clarity as a social worker, parent and mentor.
