Morgan Hatch, LPC
Morgan Hatch is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been providing services to children and families in the Rockford area for over twenty years. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, then went on to complete three graduate degrees, including a Masters in Counseling, Masters in Teaching, and Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration
Mr. Hatch started his career as a middle school teacher, teaching math, science and English. He has continued working in education as a school counselor for middle school and high school. Working in the schools, he has acquired an excellent ability to work with a spectrum of developmental needs, including social, emotional, academic and career.
Mr. Hatch is able to provide counseling supports for depression, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, family related issues, and academic and career guidance. He has a great deal of experience facilitating counseling groups, addressing the complexities of adolescent behavior individually and with families, and knows academic requirements for various career and college pursuits. Mr. Hatch utilized a person-centered counseling approach. This involves a genuine effort to help and understand all clients, an unconditional positive regard, and the integration of other approaches, such as Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoanalytic, Family Systems Techniques, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Mr. Hatch is excited to be a part of the Willow Creek Counseling team. He understands the challenges and obstacles parents and youth go through, both from a counseling and parent perspective, and he is happy to help.
