Andy Saunders, MSW

Andy is a social worker who has experience working with children and families for over 25 years. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and achieved his Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Andy has a strong working history with families who have experienced trauma, grief, substance abuse, domestic violence, and multiple other underlying conditions. Andy believes that the client should always be viewed as the expert of their own life’s journey, and he is grateful to be a helping addition to that journey. Andy is very skilled at being an empathic listener and easy to engage with.
Andy and his wife are now empty nesters, and they enjoy spending time traveling, binge watching TV series, and playing golf. Andy is also a huge baseball, basketball, and football fan. Andy has been involved in the Rockford community volunteering his time with various charities and coaching youth sports. Andy is a life-long Rockford resident and a member of the Rockford Public Schools (RPS 205) sports hall of fame.
